Accountant Job Description

Fed Finance is seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. As an Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining accounting documents and records, as well as ensuring compliance with payment terms and managing accounts payable and receivable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Prepare bank deposits, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations
  • Ensure management of accounts payable and receivable
  • Ensure compliance with payment terms (Customers & Suppliers)
  • Enter financial transaction data into the accounting system on a daily basis
  • Monitor emails and calls related to accounting
  • Provide assistance and support to company staff
  • Find, track, and restore accounting or documentation issues and deviations
  • Enter receipts and make deposits
  • Prepare and carry out GST & QST remittances
  • Validate all timesheets, ensure employee payment
  • Monitor and update monthly forecast, budget, cash flow reports

Requirements:

  • Hold a DEC or CEC in administration, accounting, or any other discipline relevant to the position
  • Have a minimum of 3 and 5 years of business experience in a similar role
  • Demonstrate excellent mastery of the Office 365 suite
  • Excellent command of French and English, both oral and written
  • Be very versatile
  • Be willing to work in a team
