Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Current certification as a Metal Fabricator (Fitter) 437 A is required.
  • Possession of a CWB SMAW S or T four-position Ticket is mandatory, or proof of having successfully completed the four-position CWB SMAW S or T Ticket.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain:
    • TSSA P1-P1 certification in 6-G position within the initial three months.
    • TSSA P5 and P8 Tickets are advantageous.
    • A valid Gas and/or Steam Ticket is beneficial.
  • Must be capable of passing a respirator fit test.
  • Ability to work at heights is essential.
  • Proven experience in interpreting and understanding Fabrication and Welding drawings.
  • Competence in developing, laying out, preparing, assembling, fabricating, and welding complete fabrication projects.
  • Recognized certification from a Boilermaker, Welder, or Fitter Trade is an asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in piping layout and fabrication, including blueprint interpretation, burning, fabrication, and passing a welding test administered by ESAI.
  • Experience in rigging is required.
  • Familiarity with man lift operations is necessary.
  • Ability to assist in the installation of fabrications is essential.
