Key Responsibilities
- Project Development
- Develop and manage capital projects from preliminary discussions to installation and commissioning.
- Define project scope, manage consultants, and create equipment specifications.
- Estimate budgets, prepare tender packages, and review drawings.
- Procure equipment, supervise contractors, and commission projects.
- Manage information exchange between operations, maintenance, engineering, and vendors.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Interact with various departments to ensure the best solution and design.
- Research and review options for equipment, processes, and automation.
- Determine how automation can be included in projects.
- Recommend equipment for purchase.
- Conduct meetings and coordinate communication between team members.
- Ensure safety of equipment design and working teams.
- Track project details to ensure milestones and targets are met.
- Take project lead of power distribution, automation, controls, instrumentation, networking, and other electrical works.
- Provide technical support to maintain existing electrical infrastructure.
- Help troubleshoot issues with electrical systems.
Requirements
- Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical, Chemical, or equivalent degree.
- Five years of relevant experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Understanding of quality and timeline expectations.
- Ability to take action to resolve issues.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- A proven track record of being proactive and taking initiative.
- Knowledge of relevant codes and standards.
