About the Role
IMAX is seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our team as a Director, Finance. This new role will report directly to the SVP, Finance & Controller and will be responsible for overseeing a team and functional areas within the Finance group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the financial accounting and analysis for joint revenue sharing arrangements, theatre maintenance revenue recognition, fixed and intangible assets, financing receivables, current expected credit losses, and leases.
- Collaborate with the Director of Internal Audit to design and operate effective internal controls over financial reporting for all functional areas within the Assistant Controller's organization.
- Work closely with operational business leaders to anticipate and implement new accounting controls and processes in response to business developments.
- Coordinate external and internal audit requests for all functional areas within the organization.
- Partner with the Vice President, Finance of IMAX China to standardize and harmonize accounting controls and processes.
Requirements:
- CPA with 7+ years' of progressive accounting experience, including a mix of audit experience and hands-on industry experience at a global publicly traded company.
- Advanced Excel and SAP skills.
- Strong technical skills in U.
- A mindset of continuous incremental improvement in the areas of internal controls and related processes.
