Job Summary

Northern Health is seeking a highly skilled and efficient Primary Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will provide operational and administrative support in a clinic and/or community setting, ensuring the delivery of safe, efficient, and quality primary care services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to Primary Care providers and the Interprofessional Team (IPT) in the delivery of primary care services.
  • Assist with operational tasks, such as scheduling, data entry, and record-keeping.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Work collaboratively with the IPT to achieve shared goals and objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with Northern Health policies and procedures, and ensure compliance in all aspects of your work.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an Office Assistant Course from an accredited Community College, plus two years recent, related experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
