Job Summary

Milltown Trucking Co Ltd is seeking a reliable and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload goods from our trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient cargo handling.
  • Vehicle Operation: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, and address any issues promptly.
  • Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, and record important details such as cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by tarping and securing it properly.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and undergo regular criminal record checks, driving record checks, and drug tests.
  • Experience: Have at least 2 years of experience in long-haul trucking, with a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.
  • Personal Qualities: Demonstrate reliability, a strong work ethic, and excellent communication skills.
