Truck Driver

At Milltown Trucking Co Ltd, we are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver - Long Haul to join our team. As a long haul truck driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and secure cargo. Your duties will include operating and driving straight or articulated trucks, performing pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspections, and receiving and relaying information to central dispatch. You will also be responsible for recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption. Additionally, you will be required to have a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A) and undergo regular drug tests and criminal record checks. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Receive and relay information to central dispatch
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
Requirements:
- Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in the field
- Reliability and strong work ethic
- Excellent communication skills
