About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Technician to join our team at ANDRITZ. As a key member of our North American Service Division, you will be responsible for providing on-site technical support to our customers in various industries, including Feed, Biomass, Pet Food, Extrusion, and Industrial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance and on-call support to customers, sales teams, and other service technicians
  • Participate in on-site assistance for equipment start-ups and complex repair work
  • Perform technical tasks, including troubleshooting and identifying mechanical defects, and performing measurements using precision instruments
  • Assist customer account managers in identifying parts needed for repair or warranty prior to service work
  • Participate in trade shows and customer training sessions
  • Complete standard service reports, invoicing packages, and other administrative requirements in a timely manner
  • Maintain site safe work practices during work scope execution
  • Be on call to assist with emergencies and special projects as assigned
Requirements
  • BS/BA degree in a related field or relevant work experience
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of pelleting, grinding, and other ancillary processes
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of assembly/disassembly of equipment
  • Ability to work independently and with other service technicians in the field
  • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong communication and math skills
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada on a full-time basis
Travel Requirements

Travel extensively within North America, with minimal potential for international travel. Overnight travel is approximately 70% of the time.
