Position Overview

The Purchasing Supervisor plays a crucial role in our operations, responsible for strategizing and managing the procurement of goods and materials essential for Naturally Pacific Resort's functions. This position requires the application of forecasting techniques to enhance operational efficiency in line with corporate goals. Responsibilities include generating precise forecasts for inventory management, strategic ordering, and vendor selection. The ideal candidate will possess experience in purchasing and supply chain management, particularly within the hospitality sector.

Your Key Responsibilities Include:

  1. Employ data analysis and reporting tools to anticipate supply and material requirements across the organization.
  2. Solicit quotes and evaluate proposals and supply contracts.
  3. Oversee the development of materials requirements plans and forecasts using established methodologies.
  4. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications We Seek:

  1. Practical knowledge of operations, warehouse management, and transportation logistics.
  2. Experience with supply chain management (SCM) software, enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, and/or material requirements planning (MRP) tools.
  3. Strong understanding of integrated supply chain and logistics principles.
  4. Advanced skills in procurement and supplier negotiations.
  5. Familiarity with enterprise-level tracking systems and implementation experience.
  6. Hands-on experience in shipping, logistics, distribution, vendor performance assessment, and return processes.
  7. A minimum of 2 years in a purchasing or supply chain management role.
  8. A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  9. Experience in the hospitality industry is advantageous.
