About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Native Outreach Worker to join our team at the Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society. As a key member of our community development team, you will play a vital role in building relationships with local Aboriginal communities and providing support services to individuals and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Community Outreach: Develop and maintain relationships with local Aboriginal communities, organizations, and stakeholders to promote our services and programs.
  • Case Management: Provide case management services to clients, including assessment, planning, and coordination of support services.
  • Program Development: Collaborate with our team to develop and implement new programs and services that meet the needs of our clients and communities.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Prepare and submit reports on program outcomes and client progress, and participate in evaluation activities to ensure the effectiveness of our services.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations, and experience with case management and program development.
Work Environment

This is a temporary, on-the-road position, requiring frequent travel to various locations in the community. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of autonomy and flexibility.
