Job Summary

AJB Truck Lines Inc is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination and transporting goods and materials across various routes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transportation Operations
    • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
    • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
    • Perform preventive maintenance and emergency roadside repairs
  • Cargo Management
    • Load and unload goods
    • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
    • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
  • Documentation and Compliance
    • Obtain special permits and other documents required to transport cargo on international routes
    • Accident or incident reports
    • Dangerous goods occurrence reports
    • Driver logbook
    • Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
  • Communication
    • Receive and relay information to central dispatch
Requirements
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • 40 to 50 hours per week
  • Work Language: English
