As a Senior Financial Planning Analyst on our Finance team, you will play a critical role in maintaining and maturing the budgeting, forecasting, and reporting cycles of our business.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain financial models for medium and long-term planning, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Manage and enhance the company's annual budgeting process, partnering with Controllership to ensure record keeping is consistent with the budget process.
- Financial Software: Assess, maintain, and implement forecasting software as needed, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Data Analysis: Act as a Finance stakeholder for the data analytics of the business, providing insights on KPIs and data integrity.
- Journal Entries: Support with journal entries and journal entry assumption estimates, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Monthly Variance Analysis: Prepare monthly variance analysis, KPI reports, and operating reviews to track business success.
- Ad-Hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, or scenario analyses.
- Revenue Management: Assist cross-collaboratively with the business to manage revenue assumptions and expectations.
- Experience: 4+ years of relevant accounting, financial analysis, and/or strategic planning experience, including experience with multiple budget cycles.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Certifications: Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) Designation, Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Designation, or working towards it.
- Industry Experience: Experience working in a growth startup or rapidly changing environment is considered an asset.
