About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team at Thiara Construction and Logistics. As a Construction Labourer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Site Preparation: Assist in preparing construction sites by loading, unloading, and transporting materials as required.
  • Formwork and Scaffolding: Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades to ensure safe working conditions.
  • Material Handling: Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt to meet project specifications.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance work and assist in demolishing buildings as required.
  • Debris Removal: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction to ensure efficient project execution.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist in recruiting and supporting newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster.
  • Support for Indigenous Communities: Develop and maintain relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations to promote diversity and inclusion.
  • Support for Visible Minorities: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities and promote a diverse and inclusive work environment.
Work Environment
  • Work Term: Permanent position with Thiara Construction and Logistics.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
