This position is responsible for overseeing the Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs at our facility. The successful candidate will work closely with the EHS Manager to ensure regulatory compliance and adherence to corporate EHS policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities- Manage EHS documentation and training files to ensure they are up-to-date and organized.
- Conduct site training and implement corporate EHS policies on the production floor.
- Perform risk assessments, review and approve procedures, and lead injury and illness tracking and case management.
- Collaborate with the EHS Manager and Operations team to develop and improve EHS programs.
- Conduct EHS training courses and support project completion to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Participate in the Emergency Response team and maintain qualifications and training.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or Associate's Degree with 2 years of EHS experience.
- Prior experience with controlled documentation and documentation change management.
- Proficient use of computer software, Microsoft Office, and other related applications.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.
- Demonstrated initiative in identifying and mitigating potential safety risks.
This role will work in a typical office environment and manufacturing plant floor environment. Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer are expected. Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds is required.
