Key Responsibilities- Conduct Electrical Tests: Use electrical test equipment to conduct voltage, resistance, and other tests to diagnose faults and ensure the safe operation of appliances.
- Prepare Estimates: Prepare written estimates of repair costs for customers, providing detailed breakdowns of the work required and the associated costs.
- Plan Service Routes: Plan and optimize service routes to ensure efficient use of time and resources.
- Refer to Technical Documentation: Refer to schematic drawings and product manuals to repair and maintain appliances, ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnose Faults: Use testing devices to diagnose faults and identify the root cause of issues, taking corrective action to prevent future problems.
- Repair and Maintain Appliances: Repair and maintain electrical appliances and components, using specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus as required.
- Replace Faulty Components: Replace faulty components with new or refurbished parts, ensuring that all work is carried out to a high standard.
- Advise Customers: Advise customers on the work performed and the condition of their equipment, providing clear and concise information to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Use Shop Equipment: Use shop equipment and specialized diagnostic and programming apparatus to repair, adjust, and reprogram appliances, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently and effectively.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
- Work Language: English
- Work Term: Permanent
- Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week
