As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in crafting exceptional dining experiences for guests attending world-class events, meetings, and conventions held at the Edmonton Convention Centre.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare food with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring adherence to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow chefs to maintain a seamless workflow and ensure timely service.
- Maintain impeccable cleanliness and sanitation standards in your work area, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Contribute to the efficient management of kitchen inventory, minimizing waste and ensuring optimal stock levels.
- Assist in training and mentoring junior culinary staff, fostering a positive and supportive team environment.
Your Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of experience working in a high-volume kitchen or banquet setting is essential.
- A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering a collaborative work atmosphere.
- Food Safety Certificate and Red Seal Certificate are highly desirable.
