About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Siding Installer to join our team at Burts Construction. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for installing siding on various construction and renovation projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Determine layout and installation procedures for siding, prepare and maintain work materials and supplies, and load and unload trucks with supplies and equipment.
  • Utilization of Tools and Equipment: Utilize hand and power tools to erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
  • Work Environment and Safety: Work outdoors at heights, in a fast-paced environment, and handle heavy loads. Ensure a safe working environment by adhering to safety protocols and wearing personal protective equipment.
  • Transportation and Travel: Own transportation and a vehicle are required for this role.
  • Physical Demands: The position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: No degree, certificate, or diploma required, but 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications and Training: Fall Arrest Protection Training Course is a plus.
  • Area of Specialization: Aluminum windows and doors, shutters, siding, and windows.
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, organized, reliability, and a team player attitude are essential for this role.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Work Hours: 35 to 50 hours per week.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Own Tools and Equipment: Tools, steel-toed safety boots, and a hard hat are required.
