Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technologist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects, designing tools and equipment, and preparing and interpreting engineering design, drawings, and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the inspection of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures to improve manufacturing efficiency and quality.
- Prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Test and evaluate machines and equipment to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
- Assist in the design and fabrication of experimental apparatus to support research and development projects.
- Install electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Eligibility for certification by a provincial or territorial association.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and electrical wiring devices.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to distinguish between colors.
