Production Manager

As a Production Manager at White Cap Canada Inc., you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing floor. This includes supervising a team of production staff, coordinating activities with other departments, and ensuring that production targets and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Production Planning: Plan, control, and manage the operations activities of the production floor to meet customer requirements.
- Team Leadership: Train staff in production methods, safety, policies, and procedures, and ensure the ongoing success of the plant floor through effective management of targets, goals, and production efficiencies.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee daily production meetings with team leaders, review daily productivity performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Process Improvement: Establish methods to meet work schedules, coordinate work activities with other units, and ensure production stays on schedule and within budget.
- Human Resources: Manage the process of hiring, terminations, discipline, and promotions, and collaborate with management and Human Resources Partners.
- Health and Safety: Maintain proper housekeeping, recognize and amend unsafe work conditions, and conduct safety talks.
- Lean Manufacturing: Lead and promote lean manufacturing through the organization, and ensure the plant is clean and well-organized.
- Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline.
- Experience: Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field, with a minimum of 5 years of managerial experience.
- Skills: Excellent leadership, team building, and communication skills, with a strong understanding of lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
