Head of Category Management for Processed Meats

The Director of Internships will oversee the comprehensive management of the Processed Meat, Pork, and Marinades categories specifically tailored for Hard Discount stores. This role encompasses the formulation of vision, strategic direction, financial oversight, competitive analysis, and execution of programs.
Key ResponsibilitiesData-Driven Leadership: You will utilize data and analytics to craft both short-term and long-term strategic initiatives, pinpointing essential merchandising priorities, potential risks, and opportunities for growth.
Financial Accountability: You will be responsible for the financial forecasting, modeling, and performance evaluation of the category, ensuring complete ownership of profit and loss (P&L) outcomes, which includes sales, margins, shrink, and EBIT.
Market Insight: Develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of the competitive landscape, managing performance metrics such as market share growth, pricing strategies, assortment efficiency, and adherence to global merchandising best practices.
Team Collaboration: Work alongside your team to implement effective assortment management strategies, including optimization analysis, new product evaluation, planogram design, and in-store merchandising techniques.
Program Management: Lead and mentor your team in program management activities, which include promotional product selection, financial modeling with P&L impact analysis, pricing strategies, and digital content decisions.
Vendor Relations: Collaborate with private label Product Managers and Product Developers to achieve strategic and financial objectives for the private label portfolio within the category.
QualificationsA post-graduate degree and/or recognized professional designations are advantageous. A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in retail merchandising, strategy, marketing, business development, or business management, particularly with P&L responsibilities, is required.
