Position Overview

As a Food and Beverage Server at Pinch of Spice, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks that ensure customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
Work Environment

This position is set within a vibrant restaurant atmosphere, where teamwork and communication are key.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve specialty dishes directly at customers' tables.
  • Present bills to patrons and process payments through various methods including cash, credit, or debit cards.
  • Provide detailed descriptions of menu items, including daily specials, to enhance customer choices.
  • Welcome guests, present menus, and offer recommendations while addressing any inquiries about food and beverages.
  • Manage inventory and ordering of wines and associated glassware.
  • Conduct sensory evaluations of wines to ensure quality service.
  • Serve food and beverages efficiently and accurately.
  • Take customer orders and communicate them effectively to kitchen and bar staff.
  • Assist clients and guests with any special needs they may have.
Work Conditions and Physical Demands
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel as needed.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with the potential for overtime.
  • Stand for extended periods while maintaining a high level of service.
  • Thrive under pressure during busy service times.
Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
  • This is a permanent position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week.
  • Working language is English.
