About the Role

Cedar Springs Landscape Group is seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with Landscape Constructions: Collaborate with our landscape construction team to ensure projects are completed to the highest standard.
  • Weed, Prune and Trim Trees and Plants: Maintain the health and appearance of our trees and plants through regular pruning and trimming.
  • Cut Grass: Ensure our lawns are well-manicured and maintained through regular mowing.
  • Rake and Collect Refuse: Keep our outdoor spaces clean and tidy by raking and collecting refuse.
  • Remove Litter and Garbage: Ensure our outdoor spaces are free from litter and garbage.
  • Cart and Spread Topsoil and Other Materials: Assist with the transportation and application of topsoil and other materials as required.
  • Lay Sod or Seed: Assist with the installation of new sod or seed to ensure our lawns are healthy and well-maintained.
  • Plant Bulbs, Flowers, Shrubs and Trees: Assist with the planting of new bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees to ensure our outdoor spaces are visually appealing.
  • Water and Tend to Plants, Lawns and/or Gardens: Ensure our plants, lawns and gardens are well-watered and maintained.
  • Operate and Maintain Landscape Maintenance Equipment: Ensure our equipment is well-maintained and in good working order.
  • Spread Sand or Salt on Sidewalks for Snow or Ice Control: Assist with the application of sand or salt to our sidewalks to ensure safe access during winter months.
  • Plant and Move Trees: Assist with the planting and relocation of trees as required.
Work Environment

You will be working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks. You will be required to handle heavy loads and work in a physically demanding role.

Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, flexibility, organized, reliability, team player, punctuality and hardworking.
