Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full cycle accounting, with the ability to review and analyze financial data, and provide daily operational support to the Controller.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor the accounting team, ensuring accuracy and timelines are met
  • Full cycle bookkeeping, including month-end/year-end processes, journal entries, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and working papers
  • Ensure deadlines are met for Federal and Provincial remittances
  • Manage reconciliation of bank accounts, expenses, and corporate credit cards
  • Support Government Grant Funding reporting and data analysis
  • Review reconciliation and reporting for inventory control
  • Prepare various reports that support business decisions
  • Assist in the design and implementation of improvements to accounting workflows
  • Support ad-hoc projects that add value to the organization
Requirements
  • Secondary Accounting Diploma or equivalent experience in a similar role
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in full cycle accounting, with a minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and full cycle accounting
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office, with a preference for QBO, Dext, Approval Max, or other related software
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Government Grant Funding reporting and payroll services considered an asset
