Job Summary

This role is responsible for leading and managing the Janitorial Services scope of work at all store or site locations within a designated area or territory, across multiple customer banners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage customer experience and retention
  • Oversee the performance of partners and cleaners
  • Ensure overall store operations, including store budgets, profitability, and KPIs
  • Implement quality standards and audits
  • Develop and deliver training programs
  • Manage costs and increase revenue and profits per store and customer banner
  • Support other area managers as required

Planning and Budgeting

  • Participate in the development and implementation of annual plans by customer banner
  • Implement store-level budgets
  • Create and develop short- and long-term strategies at store level to secure sustainability and profitability

Customer Relationships and Communication

  • Build strong relationships with customers and business partners at store level
  • Act as a single point of contact for customer communication
  • Address customer concerns and provide timely solutions
  • Support regional management on customer-facing meetings

Internal Communication

Lead and coordinate store-level communication with United Partners

  • Set expectations with partners, provide training, coaching, and mentoring
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings with regional and support teams

Process Compliance

  • Lead process initiatives and implementation at store level
  • Work with senior management to identify store-level trends and process gaps
  • Manage business using United technologies

Cost Management and Controls

  • Responsible for store-level financial activities, including billing, invoicing, and employee hours
  • Support senior management with operational costing

Workforce and Performance Management

  • Co-lead performance management for partners with the Partner Effectiveness team

Recruitment, Training, and Development

  • Support the Partner Effectiveness team in hiring, recruitment, and termination of partners
  • Lead in-store partner training and support the Partner Effectiveness team in overall partner training

Education and Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience in the Janitorial industry or a related operational environment, with 3-5 years' experience in a supervisory role
