Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret welding process specifications and operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals, and processes to ensure accurate and efficient production.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment to cut and shape metal.
  • Computer-aided design (CAD) skills are an asset.
  • Operate brakes, shears, and other metal shaping, straightening, and bending machines to shape and form metal.
  • Fabricate or repair metal parts and products using various welding techniques.
  • Determine weldability of materials and operate hoisting and lifting equipment to move heavy loads.
  • Start up, shut down, adjust, and monitor robotic welding production lines.
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
Work Environment:

As a Welder at RAJ Steel Fabrication, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding conditions. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work overtime as needed.

Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Steel-toed safety boots and safety glasses/goggles are required.
