About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Assistant to join our team at Hakuna Matata Child Care Centre Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our child care centre, ensuring the health, security, and well-being of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Bathing, Diapering, and Feeding Infants and Toddlers
  • Assisting Early Childhood Educators in Developing and Implementing Programs that Promote Physical, Cognitive, Emotional, and Social Development
  • Supporting Early Childhood Educators or Supervisors in Maintaining Accurate Records
  • Engaging Children in Activities such as Storytelling, Singing, and Crafting
  • Guiding and Assisting Children in Developing Proper Eating, Dressing, and Toilet Habits
  • Preparing Snacks and Arranging Rooms or Furniture for Lunch and Rest Periods
  • Submitting Written Observations on Children to Early Childhood Educators or Supervisors
  • Attending Staff Meetings to Discuss Progress and Problems of Children
  • Planning and Maintaining a Safe and Healthy Environment for Children
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate
  • Work Setting: Child Care Centre, Urban Area
  • Relocation Costs: Covered by Employer
  • Experience: 1 Year to Less than 2 Years
