Compensation: $20 - $23 per hour (Depending on Experience)
JOB OVERVIEW:
WhiteWater Ski Resort is in search of a skilled Lift Operations Supervisor to lead our team. This pivotal role involves ensuring the safe and effective functioning of all lifts and handle tows within the resort. Key responsibilities include managing a team of up to 25 staff members, maintaining adherence to safety protocols, and delivering exceptional guest service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Staff Scheduling: Develop and oversee daily schedules for lift operations personnel.
- Operational Oversight: Conduct daily inspections to guarantee timely lift operations.
- Effective Communication: Foster communication between team members and management.
- Policy Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies by all team members.
- Risk Management: Engage in snow removal and routine maintenance activities.
- Team Supervision: Assign work tasks and manage staff schedules.
- Safety Training: Lead safety briefings for lift operators.
- Injury Oversight: Manage injury reporting and follow-up procedures.
- Employee Training: Facilitate training sessions for new hires.
- Guest Relations: Uphold high standards of guest service.
- Performance Evaluations: Conduct seasonal assessments of employee performance.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve work-related issues.
- Lift Evacuation Procedures: Direct evacuations when necessary.
- Safety Advocacy: Promote a culture of safety and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Seek opportunities to enhance operational processes.
- Additional Responsibilities: Undertake other related tasks as required.
QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:
- Preferred education in Ski Resort Management or Tourism Management.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with 2-3 years of supervisory experience.
- Minimum of 2 seasons of experience in Lift Operations.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and the Lift Operator Manual.
- Familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft Office.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and experience operating snowmobiles.
