JOB SYNOPSIS:
As a Shuttle Driver at Whitewater Ski Resort, you will be responsible for transporting guests to the resort in a timely, safe, and friendly manner. You will be an ambassador for the resort and are integral in providing the Whitewater Experience. You will act as an information resource for the mountain and the Nelson area. Your personal interaction with our Guests will foster a friendly, knowledgeable relationship which they will look forward to renewing each time they visit Whitewater.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transport guests to the resort in a timely, safe, and friendly manner.
- Complete daily Commercial vehicle Inspection, any issues please report to Indoor Operations Manager.
- Ensure prompt and friendly service based on the shuttle pick up schedule and communicate to Dispatch if there are any delays.
- Manage lost and found items.
- Assist with town runs throughout the week to support mountain operations.
- Be available to support guest transportation outside of schedule if operations require it.
- Responsible for dropping any lost and found items to Indoor Guest Services on the Mountain.
- Champion a sustainable approach in daily operations.
- Promote Whitewater's safety culture.
- Assist in achieving department and organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Embrace, promote and follow Whitewater's mission statement and values.
- Understand current knowledge of legal standards pertaining to equipment, safety regulations, and OHS practices.
Requirements:
- Previous Shuttle Driving experience is an asset.
- Previous Radio Experience an asset.
- Class 4.
- Current Driver's Abstract - Clean Driving Record.
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Physically able to handle 50 lbs lifting.
- Basic maintenance knowledge.
- Efficiency and time-management.
- Able to problem solve when unexpected citations arise.
- Detail-oriented in record keeping.
