JOB SYNOPSIS:
Under the direction and supervision of the Indoor Operations Manager, the Shuttle Driver’s primary role is to transport guests to the resort in a timely, safe, and friendly manner. You will be an ambassador for the resort and are integral in providing the Whitewater Experience. You will act as an information resource for the mountain and the Nelson area. Your personal interaction with our Guests will foster a friendly, knowledgeable relationship which they will look forward to renewing each time they visit Whitewater.
Key areas of responsibility include abiding by all of the government and company policies and procedures, completion of the Commercial Safety Inspection, maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle, greeting guests/staff at specified locations, validating guest manifests to ensure payment of travel, assisting guests with the load/off load of their equipment and managing lost and found items.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safe, timely, and friendly transportation of our guests to the resort. Complete daily Commercial vehicle Inspection, any issues please report to Indoor Operations Manager. Ensuring prompt and friendly service based on the shuttle pick up schedule and communicating to Dispatch if there are any delays If the shuttle is unable to drive then contact the Indoor Operations Manager and have a shuttle brought down from Mountain and resume pickups at established locations. Maintain radio communication with Dispatch with daily check-ins when arriving and leaving the mountain. Making sure that the vehicle remains clean both inside and out. Assist with town runs throughout the week to support mountain operations. Be available to support guest transportation outside of schedule if operations require it. Responsible for dropping any lost and found items to Indoor Guest Services on the Mountain. Champion a sustainable approach in daily operations. Promote Whitewater’s safety culture. Assist in achieving department and organizational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Embrace, promote and follow Whitewater’s mission statement and values. Understand current knowledge of legal standards pertaining to equipment, safety regulations, and OHS practices. Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from time to time.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION:
Previous Shuttle Driving experience is an asset. Previous Radio Experience an asset. Class 4. Current Driver's Abstract - Clean Driving Record.SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Strong communication skills. Exceptional customer service skills. Physically able to handle 50 lbs lifting. Basic maintenance knowledge. Efficiency and time-management. Able to problem solve when unexpected citations arise. Detail-oriented in record keeping.Please note: A current Criminal Records check will be required.
