Job Title: Pacemaker Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Pacemaker Technologist to join our team at Kelowna General Hospital in Kelowna, BC.

Job Summary

This is a relief position until the return of the incumbent. The successful applicant will work within a supportive team environment to provide patient care to Pacemaker patients during clinic appointments and during implantation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pacemaker analysis in the O.R., including assisting the surgeon during implant procedures and pacemaker programming.
  • Conduct cardiology testing, such as Electro Cardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, Holter and pacemaker monitoring.
  • Report diagnostic cardiac testing results as required.

Qualifications

Completion of a Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists recognized diploma program in Cardiology Technology, plus successful completion of a recognized cardiac device management course, plus two years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Current registration with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists and eligible for membership with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT).
