Position Overview: The Electrician role is essential for ensuring the operational efficiency of our manufacturing equipment. This position involves emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and supporting continuous improvement projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems within the plant and associated facilities, utilizing comprehensive knowledge of electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Assist in the installation of new machinery and processing equipment, ensuring compliance with performance standards post-installation.
  • Adjust and troubleshoot control systems including PLCs, HMIs, and instrumentation to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement projects, documenting issues and solutions to share with the maintenance and engineering teams.
  • Install electrical services and equipment in accordance with relevant codes, either independently or as part of a team.
  • Provide training and guidance to production staff to help them meet production targets effectively.
  • Work with the Maintenance Planner to develop and update Planned Maintenance Programs for optimal equipment performance.
  • Source components and manage spare parts inventory to support reliable operations.
  • Prepare material lists and conduct job costing for projects.
  • Support fellow maintenance personnel and respond to call-ins as necessary.
  • Participate in shift work and provide coverage as needed.
  • Utilize communication networks for remote support to plant operations.
  • Engage in ongoing training to maintain and enhance technical skills relevant to the electrical trade.
  • Accurately log time spent on tasks using the work order system.
  • Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Assist engineering teams with capital and expense projects as required.
  • Contribute to team efforts to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Electrician license- 442A (preferred) or 309A.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven leadership and strategic planning abilities.
  • Experience in manufacturing, particularly within the packaged goods sector (1-3 years preferred).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with the Rockwell Automation platform is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of various software applications, including Outlook, Windows, Word, Excel, SAP, and others.
