The Commercial Lines Auto Ratemaking and Business Solutions team is seeking a qualified individual to take on the role of an Actuarial Consultant in Analysis and Statistics. This position involves engaging in various projects in collaboration with departments such as Marketing, Claims, Underwriting, and Operations, fostering a dynamic environment centered on professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive studies and analyses to inform rate levels, segmentation, and business-oriented initiatives. Propose actionable solutions based on your findings.
  • Craft solutions for actuarial and business challenges utilizing a diverse array of tools and methodologies. Collaborate closely with Commercial Lines business units and underwriting teams to understand and execute effective solutions.
  • Establish policies and guidelines through thorough research and impact assessments.
  • Assist in project planning, development, execution, and coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of four years of relevant professional experience.
  • Successful completion of several CAS exams is preferred.
  • Proficiency in French is essential for roles based in Quebec.
  • Advanced English proficiency is required due to the nature of the role and interactions with English-speaking stakeholders.
  • Experience in P & C Insurance, Microsoft Office Suite, SAS, Radar, Emblem, VBA, and R is advantageous but not mandatory.
