Work Setting

This role is set within the construction industry, where teamwork and collaboration are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, unload, and transport construction materials efficiently.
  • Erect and dismantle various structures including concrete forms, scaffolding, and barricades.
  • Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt as required.
  • Assist in the framing of houses, erecting walls, and constructing roofs.
  • Level earth to meet fine grade specifications.
  • Clean and organize salvaged materials for reuse.
  • Manage clean-up of chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Remove rubble and debris from construction sites.
  • Operate and tend to machines or equipment utilized in construction tasks.
Physical Requirements
  • This position is physically demanding and requires handling heavy loads.
  • Attention to detail is crucial for maintaining safety and quality standards.
Weight Handling

Ability to handle weights of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).

Required Equipment
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Safety glasses or goggles
  • Protective gloves
  • Ear plugs
Experience

Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
