We are seeking a seasoned data leader to join our team at Serv Recruitment Agency as a Director of Data. This is an exciting opportunity to lead our data insights team and drive business improvement through advanced data analytics and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the Data Insights Team: Provide strategic direction and vision for how data analytics can drive business improvement, developing and implementing data strategies and policies.
- Oversee Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide actionable insights that support decision-making across the organization, ensuring the use of advanced analytics techniques and tools.
- Manage Data Governance: Own the evolution of CARFAX Canada's Data Governance maturity, ensuring the effective use of data within the company, data accuracy, privacy, security, and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with our Product team, and other departments and stakeholders, to understand their data needs and to communicate the value of data insights in addressing business challenges and opportunities.
- Manage Data-Related Projects: Ensure that data-related projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality, coordinating with different teams and managing resources effectively.
- Ensure Data Compliance: Ensure that the department complies with data privacy laws and ethical guidelines, and that data management practices are in line with organizational policies and standards.
- Proven Experience: Proven experience as a data leader with a successful history of leading through influence.
- Data Governance Experience: Experience implementing Data Governance is an asset.
- Advanced Analytics Experience: 5-7 years' experience in the application of advanced analytics in a data company.
- Technical Skills: Solid understanding of database technologies, particularly in a Microsoft Azure production environment, experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau), and advanced analytical and modeling tools.
- Education: Master's degree in Advanced Data Analytics is considered an asset.
- Soft Skills: Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with team members, internal customers, business leaders, and external vendors.
