TalentSphere Staffing Solutions is seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join our team. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly reporting packages for management review, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Variance Analysis, and Account Reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly reporting packages for management review, including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, Variance Analysis, and Account Reconciliations.
  2. General Ledger Review: Review of general ledger and preparation of monthly closing journal entries.
  3. Financial Analysis: Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, bank reconciliations, variance analysis, GST/HST returns, and other financial reporting analysis.
  4. Year-end Audit: Ensure timely and accurate preparation of year-end audit package requirements.
  5. Bank Management: Manage bank accounts, perform timely cash flow forecasts, and issue invoices and cheques.
  6. Tenant Reconciliation: Assist in preparing year-end tenant operating and CAM tax reconciliations.
  7. Budgeting: Assist in annual budgeting process for each of the properties under management.
  8. Data Management: Maintenance and updating of data on accounting system, including building, unit, tenant, vendor, and budget data.
  9. Team Support: Assist Property Management and other departments as requested with providing accurate/timely accounting information.
Requirements:
  1. Education: Post-secondary accounting education; with 3+ years of experience in Property Accounting.
  2. Skills: Excellent computer skills, with proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Word, and accounting software packages.
  3. Analytical Skills: Good analytical skills, attention to detail, and capable of self-management and prioritization to ensure deadlines are met.
  4. Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  5. Teamwork: Great team player with a strong sense of responsibility.
