Position: Fabrication Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: Saskatoon
Employment Type: Full Time
Work Schedule: Day Shift - Monday to Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm; Night Shift - Monday to Thursday, 4:00 pm – 2:30 am

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections and validations of fabricated components to ensure compliance with engineering specifications and tolerances.
- Evaluate parts and assemblies for quality attributes, including weld integrity and dimensional accuracy.
- Maintain thorough documentation of inspections, validations, and quality assessments, providing detailed reports to management.
- Support the scheduling of welder evaluations through education and training initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs focused on quality and safety standards.
- Guide and mentor production personnel to enhance their quality assurance skills and ensure adherence to established procedures.
- Engage in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing product quality and operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with various departments to integrate quality standards into the production workflow and meet customer expectations.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations related to quality processes and confirm that all tasks are performed in line with company safety policies.
Qualifications:
- Technical certification in welding or quality control, with a preference for a CWB W47.2 Weld Supervisor Designation.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a quality control role within a manufacturing setting, ideally with a focus on welding.
- In-depth knowledge of welding processes, standards, and inspection methodologies.
- Proficiency in utilizing measurement instruments such as calipers, tape measures, and weld gauges.
- Exceptional attention to detail, strong analytical capabilities, and effective communication skills.
- Ability to lead training sessions and provide clear guidance.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous record-keeping abilities.
- Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications (Excel & Word).
