Job Overview:

Affinity Group is in search of a skilled Business Systems Analyst to contribute to the analysis, documentation, implementation, and support of Metro Vancouver's Project Management Information System (PMIS), specifically the e-Builder platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather, analyze, and document business and integration requirements pertinent to the e-Builder software.
  • Facilitate discussions and communication between business stakeholders and technical teams to resolve issues.
  • Produce essential deliverables such as process diagrams, business requirements documentation, requirements traceability matrices, work breakdown structures, high-level design documents, testing plans, reports, and dashboards.
  • Assist clients and stakeholders in managing changes to work processes effectively.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to devise and implement solutions that align with business needs.
  • Lead or engage in meetings with software vendors and PMIS implementation partners.
  • Provide technical insights for potential system integrations.
  • Support the implementation and configuration of the e-Builder solution.
  • Assist in the planning phase of the corporate PMIS implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or engineering.
  • Comprehensive understanding of problem identification and analysis related to business processes and systems planning.
  • Familiarity with project and construction management software functionalities, configurations, application architecture, and industry best practices.
  • Experience in leading information-gathering sessions with internal stakeholders, with the ability to analyze and prioritize requirements.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management functions and project control processes within the construction sector.
  • Strong understanding of information technology components, processes, and the application development lifecycle.
  • Exceptional ability to document, analyze, and evaluate information from diverse sources, identify priorities and resources, and suggest alternative business processes.
  • Proven experience in software testing and developing test plans.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing, SaaS solutions, system integration, and workflow technologies.
  • Ability to adapt and remain flexible in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with e-Builder or comparable PMIS software is advantageous.
  • Certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), and/or Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) are beneficial.
