Job Overview

To qualify for this role, candidates must reside in the Greater Toronto Area and possess the legal right to work in Canada. International applicants will not be considered at this time.

The Housekeeping Houseperson is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of guest accommodations, including bedrooms, bathrooms, balconies, hallways, public areas, and emergency exits. This position also involves assisting room attendants with various tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities

· Conduct thorough cleaning of rooms following maintenance repairs.

· Adhere to established cleanliness standards for guest rooms.

· Timely transfer of guest supplies (e.g., toilet paper) as required.

· Support Room Attendants in completing all assigned duties for designated floors.

Communication and Reporting

· Maintain open lines of communication with the Customer Care Centre and management to address any challenges or concerns.

· Report any deficiencies or issues to management promptly.

Guest Satisfaction

· Respond to guest inquiries and provide assistance as needed.

· Deliver housekeeping items to guest rooms as directed.

· Ensure a high level of guest satisfaction at all times.

· Assist room attendants with the movement of furniture and the removal of linens and waste.

· Foster a positive work environment among team members.

Safety and Efficiency

· Follow proper lifting techniques to prevent injury.

· Manage trip and fall hazards in corridors effectively.

· Comply with all safety regulations and grooming policies, ensuring nametags are visible at all times.

· Utilize provided communication devices as required.

· Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

· Complete CDC calls within the designated timeframe.

· Maintain proper radio communication etiquette.

· Ensure cleanliness of service areas and equipment.

Experience and Skills Required

· Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.

· Guest service experience is advantageous.

Personal Attributes

· Strong work ethic and dedication to quality.

· Effective communication skills.

Language Proficiency

· Must be able to understand and communicate in English.

Physical Requirements

· Flexible availability is essential.

· Ability to stand for extended periods.

· Capable of lifting and bending as required.

· Must be able to lift heavy furniture when necessary.
