FIVE RIVERS LOGISTICS LTD. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for transporting goods across the country in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Route Planning: Plan and adjust routes based on changing conditions to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, and perform brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
- Logistics and Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, and operate GPS and other navigation equipment.
- Documentation and Compliance: Maintain accurate records, including driver logbooks, inspection reports, maintenance and repair reports, and trans-border documentation.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- License: AZ class license.
- Experience: Will train.
- Skills: Attention to detail, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, hardworking, patience.
This is a physically demanding role that requires sitting for extended periods. Overtime may be required.
