About the Role

Fleetex Transport Ltd. is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a Fleet Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our fleet of heavy trucks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Inspect Equipment: Use computerized and other testing equipment to detect faults and malfunctions in our fleet vehicles.
  • Diagnose and Repair Faults: Diagnose faults or malfunctions and determine the extent of repair required to get our vehicles back on the road.
  • Order and Maintain Inventory: Order parts and maintain inventory to ensure that our maintenance team has the necessary supplies to complete repairs efficiently.
  • Adjust and Repair Equipment: Adjust and repair or replace defective parts to ensure that our vehicles are running at optimal levels.
  • Keep Maintenance Records: Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed on our fleet vehicles.
  • Test and Verify Repairs: Test repaired equipment to ensure that work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Perform Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, lubricating, and performing other maintenance work as required.
