Laboratory Analyst Ecotoxicology

We are seeking a highly skilled Laboratory Analyst Ecotoxicology to join our team at Bureau Veritas Laboratories in Sainte-Foy, QC.
About the Role:As a Laboratory Analyst Ecotoxicology, you will be responsible for performing analyses on samples and complex samples preparation, breeding monitoring, and maintaining equipment related to breeding and analyses.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform analyses on samples and complex samples preparation;
- Breeding monitoring: algae, daphnia, ceriodaphnia, fathead, trout;
- Maintain equipment related to breeding and analyses;
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) to ensure accuracy and quality of work;
- Ensure that quality control criteria are met for all reported data;
- Understand and troubleshoot analyses;
- Provide input to corrective action procedures;
- Ensure deadlines are met;
- Ensure that equipment is appropriately maintained;
- Use summary reports to plan and organize work;
- Follow all laboratory safety rules and regulations;
- Keep their work area clean, neat and organized;
- Contribute to daily and weekly planning;
- Other responsibilities as assigned by their supervisor or team leader.
- Diploma in bioecology, biology or other related diploma/experience;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
- Good record keeping skills and attention to detail;
- Dynamic, energetic, motivated and positive outlook.
- Work schedule: day/evening/weekends + overtime when required;
- Status: Full time, 37.5h/week.
