Job Title: Mechatronics Project Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechatronics Project Engineer to join our team at BRP. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and validation of electrical and mechatronic systems for our range of recreational vehicle products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop the vehicle's electrical and functional architecture and integrate mechatronic modules and functions.
  • Write technical requirement documents for the development of mechatronic parts, electrical systems, and software by internal and external suppliers.
  • Develop and execute test plans required to validate technical solutions, taking into account established norms and standards.
  • Carry out the necessary validations for electronic module software and calibrate mechatronic functions.
  • Coordinate the assembly, diagnosis, and validation of prototype vehicles.
  • Guide the work of technicians and designers to achieve development objectives.
  • Take part in production start-up on the assembly line, solve network problems, and follow up with suppliers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechatronics engineering, or equivalent.
  • Good understanding and ability to integrate electrical, electronic, software, and mechatronic principles.
  • Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and to innovate.
  • At ease in an environment where technical solutions are not known, where the path is not mapped out.
  • Autonomous, responsible, resourceful, and a good team player.
  • Ability to communicate in French and English (written and spoken). English is required in order to read technical documentation available in English only and communicate with partners and suppliers based abroad.
