SAP Purchasing and Sales Functional Consultant

Become a part of our dynamic team as a SAP Purchasing and Sales Functional Consultant at Metro Inc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and document business workflows to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Draft and update functional specifications adhering to industry standards.
  • Customize purchasing and sales modules to align with organizational needs.
  • Develop test scripts, execute testing, and record outcomes to validate system performance.
  • Offer user support during the stabilization phase following new implementations.
  • Engage in the creation of training materials and conduct training sessions for key users.
  • Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and convert their requirements into technical specifications.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges and risks by establishing controls and action plans to ensure successful deployments.
  • Assist in operational support under the guidance of the competence center.
  • Continuously monitor production system processes and activities.
  • Investigate and resolve issues or incidents related to production systems.
  • Guide and support users in enhancing and innovating processes.
  • Translate business, operational, and functional requirements for development teams.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities of the competence center.
  • Share expertise and knowledge with team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Administration.
  • More than 10 years of experience in a consulting or analyst role focused on ERP systems.
  • Experience in the retail, food, or manufacturing industries is advantageous.
  • Ability to analyze and summarize information clearly and succinctly.
  • Understanding of value chains and critical technology integration points.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks, deliverables, and projects concurrently.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to adjust to different audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Willingness to travel occasionally between Metro offices.
  • Availability for second-level support outside of standard business hours on a rotational basis.
