PDI is seeking a skilled Truck Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our fleet.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement daily vehicle work orders to ensure timely repair and maintenance
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment, adhering to all safety protocols
  • Analyze and troubleshoot complex truck and trailer breakdowns, determining the most effective course of action
  • Stay up-to-date with federal, provincial, and local regulations, including hazardous waste disposal
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure safety and compliance in the shop
  • Contribute to departmental accountability measures, driving continuous improvement

Requirements:

  • 3-5+ years of experience in truck repair, with a focus on diesel mechanics
  • Thorough knowledge of tractor, trailer, and tanker equipment maintenance, with a strong emphasis on diesel engine maintenance and repair
  • Ability to plan and coordinate preventive maintenance strategies for transportation equipment
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge and experience with maintenance computerized systems
  • Licensed mechanic preferred
  • Welding skills
  • Preventative maintenance service

  • Meeting annual safety requirements
