About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to join our Mining Environmental Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in hydrogeology and environmental services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and participate in hydrogeological and environmental projects, including tailings and water storage dams, mine water management, dewatering, water supply, contaminant hydrogeology, and other environmental and engineering applications.
  • Conduct groundwater and hydrochemical analysis and modeling, and provide input to project teams.
  • Develop and implement groundwater and environmental monitoring and sampling programs.
  • Design, install, and field test wells for water supply projects, aquifer feasibility studies, dewatering/depressurization, and monitoring projects.
  • Work with multidisciplinary project-based teams to deliver high-quality services to clients.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Geological Engineering, with a strong track record of continued development.
  • At least 15 years of experience in hydrogeology, including experience in tailings and water storage dams, mine water management, dewatering, water supply, contaminant hydrogeology.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard software packages, including AQTESOLV, Leapfrog, Surfer, and GIS software.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard groundwater modeling software packages, including MODFLOW, FEFLOW, and SEEP/W.
  • Eligibility to become professionally registered in your home jurisdiction.
  • Ability to build relationships with multidisciplinary project-based teams.
  • Experience in a safety-focused environment with near-miss and incident reporting requirements.
