Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Wealth and Tax Planning Specialist to join our team at the Bank of Montreal. As a key member of our wealth management team, you will be responsible for providing specialized wealth planning services to high net worth clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive wealth plans for high net worth clients, taking into account their financial, tax, and estate planning needs.
  • Collaborate with other planning professionals and relationship managers to provide clients with expert advice and solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure clients receive the best possible advice.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their goals and objectives, and providing tailored solutions to meet their needs.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to develop and implement business growth strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of training programs and materials to enhance the skills of colleagues.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve client outcomes.
Requirements
  • Typically between 5-9 years of relevant experience and a university degree in a relevant field of study.
  • Post-graduate degree is desirable.
  • Relevant professional designation is considered an asset.
  • Experience dealing with high net worth clients.
  • Proven track record in developing and growing a profitable financial or related client services business.
  • Extensive knowledge and technical proficiency related to wealth planning strategies, issues, and trends.
  • Broad knowledge of financial institutions, services, and products.
  • Broad knowledge of investment management principles, economics, and financial markets.
  • Seasoned professional with a combination of education, experience, and industry knowledge.
  • Completion of Chartered Professional Associate (CPA) designation.
  • Mandarin/Cantonese language skills are an asset.
