Post Office Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Post Office Assistant. As a key member of our retail team, you will provide exceptional customer service, sell postal products and services, and process mail and packages with accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Sales and Customer Service: Sell postal products and services to customers, including mail and package delivery, postage, and other services.
- Mail and Package Processing: Sort, distribute, and process mail and packages into appropriate classifications, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
- Customer Support: Provide customers with information and forms, address delivery and service difficulties, and resolve problems thoroughly and quickly.
- Education: High school or provincial equivalency and/or experience in business administration.
- Experience: Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions.
- Skills: Understanding of general or post office accounting systems, physical fitness to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods of time.
- Availability: Flexibility to be available for temporary, on-call work.
