We are seeking a skilled Plastic Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Industrial Plastics & Paints. As a key member of our shop team, you will be responsible for cutting and fabricating plastics to precise specifications using standard woodworking equipment and advanced techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Cut and fabricate plastics to tolerance size using table-saws, table-routers, hand-routers, chop-saws, and drill presses.
- Operate a CNC Laser cutting table and learn advanced fabrication techniques, including solvent welding and heat bending.
- Identify and work with various industrial plastics materials in sheet, rod, and tube formats.
- Assist the sales team during busy periods with customer service, time estimations, and developing hand-sketch work instructions.
- Manage incoming orders, offcuts, and general shop upkeep.
- Previous experience with plastics fabrication and safe-use skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and master the operation of a CNC Laser cutting table.
- Experience with acrylic fabrication (bending, forming, polishing) is an asset.
- Strong customer service skills and a team-focused attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Competitive hourly wage based on relevant work experience.
- $300 bonus per month for achieving shop throughput objectives.
