About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Roofer to join our team at Paramount Exteriors Ltd. as a key member of our exterior construction team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel.
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Install roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions.
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements.
  • Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings.
  • Repair roofing systems.
  • Install and repair metal roofs using hand and power tools.
  • Install sheet metal flashings.
Work Environment

This role involves working in a variety of locations, including commercial and residential settings, and may require working outdoors in noisy and dusty environments.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in the field.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials.
