Experienced Plumber Wanted for Camp Dorm Renovation Project

Bouchier is seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Plumber to join our team for a camp dorm renovation project. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in installing piping systems for this project.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of natural gas distribution lines and other piping.
- Install underground polyethylene pipe, above ground carbon steel pipe, fittings, pressure gauges, PCV's, PSV's, and pipe supports to transport natural gas from the tie-in point to individual buildings.
- Stay up-to-date with current safety regulations, requirements, and training for various natural gas systems.
- Locate and mark positions for pipe connections and passage holes in walls.
- Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings.
- Measure and cut pipes using hand and power tools.
- Thread pipe.
- Join pipes using couplings (mechanical).
- Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
- Prepare cost estimates and receive and complete work orders.
- Red Seal or Alberta certified Journeyman Plumber certificate is required.
- Journeyman Gas Fitter Class A or B is an asset.
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License is required.
- CSTS and OSSA Regional Orientation or OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31, 2018) or CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1, 2019) certification.
- Proficiency in threading techniques.
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Service plumbing experience is considered an asset.
- Experience with DR11 Poly gas line.
- Minimum three years of experience in an oilfield industrial environment.
- High School Diploma preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Thorough knowledge of plumbing system installation and repairs.
- Strong mathematical, scientific, mechanical, and logical reasoning abilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a work team.
- Safety conscious attitude.
- Previous renovation experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive Drug, Alcohol, and Physical Demand Assessment.
- Fluent in spoken, written, and reading English.
- All applicants must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
